MANILA - The Philippine South East Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) has partnered with rehydration specialist POCARI SWEAT to be the exclusive rehydration isotonic drink of the 30th South East Asian games.

POCARI SWEAT the leading brand of Otsuka Pharmaceutical signed up as a Gold Tier Sponsor for the SEA games.

PHISGOC Chairperson Alan Peter Cayetano welcomes POCARI SWEAT to its roster of growing private partners which have signified their support to ensure the Philippine’s successful hosting of the games.

“The continuous outpouring of support from different multinational companies boosts our confidence that we can overcome all the challenges to deliver the best SEA games ever,” Cayetano said.

In a simple signing ceremony held on March 25, Cayetano thanked POCARI SWEAT for trusting PHISGOC and working with the entire organizing team for the successful hosting of this year's SEA Games.

Mr. Yoshihiro Bando, President, PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka, signed the MOA on behalf of POCARI SWEAT. Launched in the eighties, POCARI SWEAT has established its brand across Asia.

Although it has been regular partner of the Asian Games, this is the first time POCARI SWEAT will hitch its name to the Southeast Asian Games.

“We are happy to share with our partners that the preparations are in full swing and the entry of POCARI SWEAT will provide a big boost to our commitment to achieve our goals and tasks,” said Cayetano.

PHISGOC assured their international private partners that they will be given the best value for their sponsorship noting that the Philippines have raised the standards of hosting such an international tournament.

Earlier this year, PHISGOC welcomed the entry of Ajinomoto, Asics, Atos, GL Events, Grand Sport, Marathon, Mikasa, Molten and Philippine Airlines to its growing list of sponsors ensuring that the games are successful with the participation of both government and international giant sponsors combined. The 30th SEA Games will be broadcast in partnership with Media Pro Asia.
