Clark, Pampanga--Organizers unveiled an improved logo design and the theme "We Win As One" during the one-year countdown to the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
There were less rings and the circles were fatter when the logo sculpture was finally revealed and the digital clock was lit up at the Bayanihan Park here Friday night.
Chef de Missions from the 11 member nations and national athletes from various sports disciplines joined Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee Chairman Alan Peter Cayetano in turning on the switch to the countdown clock.
The guests of honor of the launch were Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, PSC Chairman William Ramirez, POC President Ricky Vargas and Athletes' Commission representative Nikko Huelgas.
This is the first time that the SEA Games will have a countdown clock, as part of the government's commitment to raise the standards of hosting the games to the level of the Asian Games.
